New Rules for Real Estate Cold Calling from August 11, 2026
Starting August 11, 2026, new regulations will significantly change real estate telephone prospecting in France. Real estate professionals will no longer be allowed to contact consumers without first obtaining their prior, explicit, and informed consent. This consent must be clear and include the identity of the professional, the purpose of the call, the validity period (limited to one year), and the consumer's right to withdraw consent at any time. Introduced by the July 23, 2026 Decree, these new rules strengthen consumer protection and require real estate agents to adapt their prospecting practices to remain compliant.
